Soapstone has excellent heat retention properties. Heat is built up and then released gradually into the surrounding area over the course of several hours. The heat storage capacity of Geo in soapstone is shown in the diagram below. (Ignite and then add 2.2 kg of beech wood every hour thereafter.)
